Letters Home from Stanford

125 Years of What We Wrote Home from Stanford University

Remember those late-night imaginings, questions, and debates that you and dorm mates engaged in back at the Farm? Letters Home from Stanford, a published collection of letters, emails, and texts sent home by generations of Stanford’s undergrad and grad-school students, gives you a cross-generational gab session. These students—some alive, some not—continue to engage, inspire, and challenge you—just like the gang back in the dorm.

"Letters Home" is a fascinating collection based on the experience of young people undergoing the incredible intellectual and personal growth that occurs when they head off to college. The letters cover a full range of experience: from building resilience, to living in an intellectually vibrant community, to making new friends, to learning the challenges and opportunities of being an independent, thoughtful adult. What an exhilarating and insightful read!"
